August 14 - 15, 2006 Bozeman, MT: Shaping the Future of the West: Technology, Geography, and Technology Connecting Minority-Serving Institutions to US Advanced Cyberinfrastructure. This Lariat Summit will bring together 30-40 academic and technology leaders from minority-serving and under-participating institutions in the West, leaders from federal funding agencies concerned with cyberinfrastructure and related applications (e.g., NSF, NIH, IMLS, etc.), and national leaders in cyberinfrastructure and e-science. July 7 - 8, 2006 Bozeman, MT: Imagining the Digital Healthcare Future in the Rural West. This workshop will explore current applications of technology in healthcare, identify practical uses of technology and how others in rural communities have made it happen, identify potential resources and allow participants to network with healthcare administrators and providers interested in IT issues. April 13 - 14, 2006 Bozeman, MT - Museum of the Rockies: Accelerating Research with Grid Computing. This workshop brings together academics, industry representatives, and infrastructure specialists to present information on various aspects of how grid computing can accelerate research. April 17 & 18, 2006 Bozeman, MT - Gallatin River Lodge: The Evolutionary Bioinformatic Network Workshop. This invitational workshop will provide a forum to discuss and establish an evolutionary Bioinformatics network among the Lariat Universities and with other scientists who are interested in developing this resource. The panelists represent a cross section of various interests in the development and use of evolutionary Bioinformatics in both laboratory and in silico experimentation. More Information
