National Network
The map below shows the plan for implementing the wide area network. The internet connectivity for each of the 6 sites will be upgraded to higher bandwidth and faster speeds. Each sites' connection to the closest point of presence (POP) will be upgraded: between Montana State University, University of Idaho, University of Alaska, University of Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest Gigapop in Seattle; between the University of Wyoming and the Front Range Gigapop in Denver and between the University of Nevada-Reno and the CENIC hub in Sunnyvale, CA.
